...WIND CHILLS IN THE TEENS ARE EXPECTED LATE TONIGHT...
COLD AIR WILL CONTINUE TO FILTER INTO THE MID ATLANTIC REGION TONIGHT. LOWS ACROSS CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA WILL BOTTOM OUT IN THE LOW TO MID 20S. NORTHWEST WINDS FROM 10 AND 20 MPH WILL GUST UP TO 30 MPH THROUGH SUNSET... AND THEN DIMINISH TO LESS THAN 10 MPH BY DAYBREAK. THE COMBINATION OF THE COLD TEMPERATURES AND WINDS WILL RESULT IN WIND CHILL VALUES IN THE TEENS. HIGH TEMPERATURES ON FRIDAY WILL STRUGGLE TO REACH THE UPPER 30S TO LOWER 40S.
PARENTS SHOULD MAKE SURE CHILDREN WHO WILL BE EXPOSED TO THE COLD AT BUS STOPS IN THE MORNING ARE DRESSED WARMLY.
Abraços!
